Notification and Consent Statement on Collection and Processing of Personal Information

The personal information that KPMG China (“KPMG” *) received from you through this Alumni site is collected, used, processed and retained by one or more of the member firms of KPMG in accordance with the requirements of the Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL) of the People’s Republic of China, Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Chapter 486 of the Laws of Hong Kong (SAR), China), Personal Data Privacy Act of Macau (SAR), China (collectively, “Applicable Laws”), and KPMG’s Online Privacy Statement and KPMG China Privacy Statement (collectively "Privacy Statement").

Subject to the conditions herein, your personal information will be used for the purpose of vetting and confirming your KPMG alumni status. After confirming you are KPMG alumni, based on your consent and preference selected, KPMG will (i) provide you with alumni news and updates, as well as alumni events invitations, and/or (ii) add you to our Alumni Directory(“Purpose”).

To serve such Purpose and in compliance with the requirements of the Applicable Laws, we hereby request that you provide us with your personal information as in above registration form and allow such information to be processed by our KPMG Alumni Team.

Please note that if you are not able to provide us with personal information in the above which have been marked with an asterisk (*), we may not be able to carry out the Purpose accordingly.

Once the above Purpose is achieved, any materials containing your personal information will be retained, stored, or destroyed in accordance with the Applicable Laws. In any event, your personal information will not be retained longer than it is necessary to achieve the Purpose or permitted by the Applicable Laws.

If you’re an alumni residing or working in Chinese Mainland and if our processing of your personal information is subject to PIPL, you’re hereby informed that your personal information may be received and proceed by a recipient outside of Chinese Mainland (i.e., Alumni Team of KPMG member firm in Hong Kong (SAR), to meet the Purpose by using your personal information). Your explicit consent is therefore required for us to collect and process your personal information for the Purpose abovesaid.

You have a right to withdraw your consent to the processing in the above manner at any time. You are also entitled to access, correct, or enquire about your personal information held by us.
